The Cultural Olympiad in the East Midlands
Through the national Cultural Olympiad programme and the annual Igniting Ambition festivals, we're investing in projects and people that take the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games as their inspiration to create once-in-a-lifetime cultural opportunities for audiences and communities right here on our doorstep. This is everyone's Games and our commissioning programme reflects this, celebrating the diversity of our region and its rich cultural heritage.
Igniting Ambition is a programme for the East Midlands, funded by Legacy Trust UK, the European Regional Development Fund and the East Midlands Development Agency, with the support of Arts Council England and many others.
Big dance handbook
The Big Dance 2012 handbook is here and it is packed full of all the information you need about Big Dance 2012. The handbook tells you what Big Dance is, why it is happening, how you can get involved and where and when flagship events will be taking place in 2012.

creative innovation open call for proposals now live
Creative Innovation is a three-year programme of innovation support for creative and cultural businesses in the East Midlands, part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and Legacy Trust UK. The programme is designed to maximise the innovative business growth opportunities of the Cultural Olympiad and the new market opportunities that it presents.
R&D Grants of up to £1000 for creative/ cultural SMEs in the East Midlands are available

London 2012 Open weekend 2011 - one year to go!
From 22 - 24 July 2011 the East Midlands celebrated one year to go to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. With over 80 events taking place across the region it was an extraordinary weekend of excitement and celebrations!
