Creative Innovation Case Study - Foot in Hand Dance Company

As part of the 2009 Igniting Ambition Festival, Foot in Hand received funding through Creative Innovation to develop a new performance piece celebrating Leicester's hosting of the Special Olympics. The resulting piece, One Night Only, premiered at the Peepul Centre in Leicester before touring nationally.

Support through Creative Innovation not only provided the company with the funding necessary to create a new product, but provided the platform on which to showcase it through the Igniting Ambition Festival 2009, opening up the company to new opportunities and audiences. Involvement in the Igniting Ambition Festival also led the production to gain national recognition through the London 2012 Inspire Mark programme. The Creative Innovation team maintained close contact with the company throughout the production phase and offered hands-on assistance and expertise to market the final product as widely as possible.
