The English Flower Garden
Fine ceramic artist Paul Cummins has created a quintessentially English Flower Garden made up of more than 15,000 individual blooms, each one crafted by hand.
The English Flower Garden will tour nationally, including an installation of roses and tulips at the Houses of Parliament during the Games. In the East Midlands, 5000 sweet peas will be exhibited at Althorp House (Northamptonshire) from June – August 2012.
The English Flower Garden is an Unlimited Commission. Unlimited is an unprecedented programme of work inspired by London 2012 and celebrating arts, culture and sport by disabled and deaf people. The programme is principally funded by the Olympic Lottery Distributor and is delivered in partnership between London 2012, Arts Council England, the Scottish Arts Council, Arts Council of Wales, Arts Council of Northern Ireland and the British Council.
