Golden Fables
July 2012, across Lincolnshire
Golden Fables 2012 forges a unique collaboration between world-acclaimed artists to create a unique festival performance inspired by Lincolnshire’s cultural heritage and by themes associated with rural life in 21st century Britain.
The performance will combine poetry, spoken word, specially commissioned music, hundred year old film material, digital art, a choir and scenes from a new graphic novel. The new work will be recorded in Lincolnshire and performed at SO Festival and Latitude Festival in the summer of 2012.
The SO Festival performance will be broadcast the next day at 12 village halls and community centres across Lincolnshire, giving it a true “county premiere” before it makes its way to the national stage with screenings at venues around the country.
Sunday 01 July, SO Festival, Skegness
Monday 02 July, village halls and community centres across Lincolnshire
Saturday 14 July, Latitude Festival, Suffolk
