Lyric Lounge

The Lyric Lounge is a unique travelling spoken word festival in which international artists share the stage with local writers and performers in a vibrant celebration of lyrical prose, music and rhyme.

Touring the East Midlands as part of the annual Igniting Ambition Festivals over the past four years, The Lyric Lounge adds a new destination to its circuit in 2012, visiting Chesterfield for the first time as well returning to familiar ground in Nottingham, Corby and Leicester.

The Lyric Lounge is the place to be uplifted and moved by some of the most exciting voices on the UK circuit, to let the power of the spoken word take centre stage.

The Lyric Lounge was conceived and developed by Renaissance East Midlands and is delivered by Writing East Midlands.
