The six key activity areas and three embedded themes above reflect the priorities identified at our regional stakeholder event ‘Towards 2012’ at the Walkers stadium in February 2006. This structure has since been revised following the consultation on the East Midlands Regional Strategy for the 2012 Games during the summer of 2007.

The key activities are being developed by the following organisations: East Midlands Development Agency, Sport England, Government Office for the East Midlands, East Midlands Tourism and Culture East Midlands.

Click on the tabs at the top of this page to find out what the new structure means for that sector, the background to it and how you can get involved. In addition you’ll find the contact details for the organisation developing the area and other useful websites.
